Funding Opportunities 

Funding may be available to support your training programme. Computeraid has compiled a list of some organisations that might be able to help you to make a contribution towards your training requirements depending on your circumstances.  There are funding options for people facing redundancy, or Graduates working for SMEs in Wales.  We also have a great special offer for people who book five or more places on scheduled courses.

 

15 Day Business IT Essentials  – Help for SMEs based in counties of Cardiff, Newport, Vale of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire
The course is designed for the staff of companies with under 250 employees including sole traders. The course is suitable for employees who have little or no experience of using a PC to help them get the most from their computers, cut costs and improve profitability. The course will be taught in the most recent versions of Microsoft Office (2007 and 2010).

Subjects include IT Fundamentals, IT Security, Internet and Email, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. This course leads to a British Computer Society level 2 qualification. Eligible companies must be based in the counties of Cardiff, Newport, Vale of Glamorgan or Monmouthshire.

This 15-day course costs £75+VAT per delegate per course and is part funded by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

Bwriedir y cwrs ar gyfer staff cwmnïau lle ceir llai na 250 o weithwyr gan gynnwys unig fasnachwyr. Mae’r cwrs yn addas i weithwyr heb fawr neu ddim profiad o ddefnyddio cyfrifiadur i’w helpu i ddefnyddio’r cyfrifiadur yn y ffordd orau, lleihau costau a gwella proffidioldeb. Rhaid bod cwmnïau cymwys wedi’u lleoli yn siroedd Caerdydd, Casnewydd, Bro Morgannwg neu Fynwy.
 
Mae’r cwrs o 9:30 tan 4:30 un diwrnod yr wythnos am 15 wythnos olynol.

  

 ReAct Funding – Help for people facing redundancy

Are you about to be made redundant or have you been made redundant in the last six months? ReAct the redundancy action fund can help! 
  • ReAct is a package of support to help you gain new skills, overcome obstacles and improve your chances of returning to work following redundancy. 
  • The ReAct fund can contribute up to £1,500 towards the cost of vocational training courses.

Graduate Opportunities Wales – Help for graduates

Graduates working for Small to Medium sized Enterprises in Wales may be able to access funding to put towards training.
  • GO Wales can offer small to medium-sized businesses in Wales up to £1,500 towards the cost of training graduate staff members.
