Build on your basic Word skills to develop professional documents.
This course is designed to equip the user with a proficient grasp of Word and its facilities. The day will include an overview of commands covered on the Level 1 course, followed by an in-depth look at other word-processing features such as automatic formatting, columns, using the mail merge facility, creating tables and using graphics to enhance a document.
This is a one-day course running from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Training is hands-on and tutor-led.
We provide a comprehensive training manual, lunch and certification.
Courses run at both Swansea and Cardiff locations.
This course can be run as a company specific option either at your site or our own.

Creating and working with columns.
Creating a standard letter and merging names and
Publishing with Word
Desktop publishing enhancements available in Word.
Borders and Graphics
Adding/formatting borders around text, inserting pictures
and text boxes and use of the Word drawing tools.
Creating tables, structuring, modifying and using
Word's text shaping facility.
AutoCorrect & AutoText
Automatic correction of common misspellings and use
of this facility to expand upon abbreviations. Use ''buliding blocks'' to store frequently used pieces of text.
To gain the maximum benefit from this course, an attendee should have attended our Level 1 course, or have an equivalent understanding of basic text entry and text enhancement.
This course covers material from the standard European Computer Driving Licence (Module 3, contributes towards an ITQ level 2 / ECDL Extra qualification and the Microsoft Office Specialist Core Word syllabus.
