Computer Skills - IT Fundamentals
All the basics you need to start to use your computer effectively.
This course covers hardware (the parts of a computer you can touch), the extras you can buy to go with a standard PC and software (the programmes that run your computer). Tutors explain computer basics in a non technical manner and show you some useful business software packages including word processing and spreadsheets, how to find photos, documents and folders on your computer using Windows and give some IT security tips.
This is a one-day course running from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Training is hands-on and tutor-led.
We provide a comprehensive training manual, lunch and certification.
Courses run at both Swansea and Cardiff locations.
This course can be run as a company specific option either at your site or our own.
Basic introduction to all the personal computer
elements - monitor, keyboard, ROM, RAM,
processors and disks.

word processing using Word, spreadsheets using

This course is suitable for beginners with no prior ICT knowledge.
This course covers material from the standard European Computer Driving Licence (Module 2) and contributes to an ITQ level 1 qualification.
