Get to Grips with Google. Design and Evaluate Your Pay Per Click Advertising Campaign

This course is intended to provide a solid foundation on which to build online marketing campaigns based on the Google AdWords system and analysing their effectiveness with Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about a website's traffic and traffic sources, measuring conversions and sales.

Google Analytics can give you insights into how visitors use your site, how they arrived on your site and how you can keep them coming back. This course shows you how to implement Google Analytics to monitor the effectiveness of your online presence.

This is a one-day course running from 9:30am - 4:00pm.
Training is hands-on and tutor-led.
We provide a comprehensive training manual, lunch and certification.
Scheduled courses run in Swansea and Cardiff.
This course is available as a company specific course at your premises or ours.

    General principles - what are AdWords and how do AdWords work as a means for advertising? Guide to some of the key jargon that you will hear during the day.

    Identifying Keywords

    All businesses that operate online have keywords that are used to drive custom to their services. This part of the course shows you how to identify the key words that relate to your services.

    Create a Campaign

    Understanding the process of building a campaign in Google AdWords. Learn how to write good advertising copy.

    Running a Campaign

    What to expect when a campaign is operating.

    Campaign Budget

    Understanding the billing process and what you will be paying for. What is pay-per-click? How to estimate the cost of a campaign and how to avoid running over budget.

    Campaign Reporting

    Looking at the outcome of your campaign. How to evaluate its successes and failures.

    Google Analytics

    What is Google Analytics and what can it do for your website? A general overview of the Google Analytics interface.

    Adding Analytics

    Setting up your Google Analytics accounts. Getting your Analytics tracking code. How to add Google Analytics to your website.

    Routine Monitoring

    How to perform routine monitoring of your website. Understanding concepts such as pages, sessions, bounce rates, new and returning visitors.

    Creating Reports

    How to create a custom report.

    Visitor Flow

    Understanding how visitors to your site are using the pages that make up your website.

  • Prerequisites

    This course requires no knowledge of social media but an ability to use email and the internet is required.

  • Qualification

    Certificate of achievement
